Our core belief
At Sage & Soul, we believe every Black LGBTQ+ woman age 50 and older deserves to be seen, valued, celebrated, and connected to a community where she belongs, thrives, and embraces life's next chapter with confidence. We believe it is never too late to build meaningful friendships, experience new adventures, prioritize wellness, embrace healing, discover new purpose, and live authentically. Every woman carries a lifetime of wisdom, resilience, and strength, and those gifts deserve to be honored. Our community exists because no woman should have to navigate this stage of life alone. Through sisterhood, travel, wellness, leadership, and joyful experiences, we create spaces where women feel a true sense of belonging and are empowered to live their next chapter with confidence, courage, and joy.
Our vision for impact
We envision a future where Black LGBTQ+ women ages 50 and older are no longer searching for community—they've found it through Sage & Soul. Our hope is that every woman who becomes part of our sisterhood experiences deeper friendships, renewed confidence, improved emotional and spiritual well-being, and a stronger sense of purpose. We want women to know that life after 50 is not a season of limitation but a time of new beginnings, meaningful connections, exciting adventures, and continued growth. As Sage & Soul grows, we aspire to become the nation's premier community for Black LGBTQ+ women 50+, creating opportunities to travel the world, prioritize wellness, celebrate milestones, develop leaders, support entrepreneurs, and build lifelong relationships rooted in authenticity, respect, and love. Ultimately, our greatest measure of success will not be the number of members we serve, but the number of lives transformed. We want every woman to leave our community feeling empowered.
What makes Sage & Soul unique
Sage & Soul was created because we recognized that Black LGBTQ+ women ages 50 and older have often been overlooked in spaces designed for connection, wellness, and community. While many organizations focus on either LGBTQ+ communities, women's groups, or aging adults, few intentionally center the unique experiences, wisdom, and journeys of Black LGBTQ+ women in this stage of life. At Sage & Soul, we believe life after 50 is not about slowing down—it's about embracing new possibilities. Our community is intentionally designed to help women build authentic friendships, prioritize their well-being, explore the world through travel, celebrate life's milestones, develop leadership, and create lasting memories in a welcoming and affirming environment. What truly sets Sage & Soul apart is that we don't simply host events—we cultivate lifelong sisterhood. Every gathering, retreat, healing circle, and celebration is thoughtfully designed to foster genuine relationships.
